Managing Attorney

Responsibilities

Oversee case strategy, legal analysis, and representation across the firm
Personally handle complex matters, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
Review and approve pleadings, motions, declarations, and key client communications
Serve as the escalation point for high-risk cases and sensitive client matters
Supervise and mentor Associate Attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff
Set clear expectations around quality, ethics, deadlines, and client service
Balance caseload distribution to ensure sustainability and strong outcomes
Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and training as the firm grows
Establish and maintain firm-wide legal standards, templates, and workflows
Ensure compliance with ethical rules, court deadlines, and internal policies
Partner with ownership on firm strategy, process improvement, and growth initiatives
Participate in networking, community involvement, and business development efforts aligned with the firm’s mission

Qualification

Juris Doctor (JD)Arizona State Bar license5+ years legal experienceLegal writing skillsAnalytical skillsCommunication skillsMentoring experienceLeadership skillsSound judgmentClient-centered mindsetEmotional intelligence

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active Arizona State Bar license in good standing
5+ years of legal practice experience; litigation or family law experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from start to resolution
Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and a client-centered mindset
Comfortable balancing legal work with leadership and operational decision-making

Preferred

Prior experience mentoring, supervising, or leading legal teams is strongly preferred
