Sleep Research Data Consultant
Washington State University is seeking a Sleep Research Data Consultant to support the Sleep and Performance Research Center. The role involves managing institutional data, performing statistical analysis, and providing recommendations based on data insights while ensuring data protection and confidentiality.

All Data Consultants have operational responsibility for institutional data and supports the organization’s commitment to transparent, inclusive, data-informed decision-making through rigorous process evaluation, data management, and strategic analysis
The Sleep Research Data Consultant focus is on the transformation, organization and analysis of data utilized in the Sleep and Performance Research Center (SPRC)
In this role, you will be expected to monitor the overall project portfolio for consistency and best practices in data management, perform statistical analysis utilizing descriptive statistics techniques, and complete visualization through graph plots and tables
You will also provide recommendations for Principal Investigator review
You will have access to proprietary data and information which must be maintained in methods as defined by agreements. All work will be performed with data protection and confidentiality held in the highest regard
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree including college level course work in statistics and/or mathematics AND one (1) year of experience working as a Data Consultant 1 or equivalent OR equivalent education/experience
Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data sets from a variety of sources
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products, including experience using conditional formatting and Excel function
Preferred
Experience using analytics software such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or related tools
Experience analyzing quantitative or qualitative data, interpreting findings, discerning implications, and drawing conclusions
