Responsibilities
Proactively identify organizational requirements and help design and engineer network security implementations
Perform project-based engineering, design, installation, and troubleshooting of secure data networks
Provide assessment, design, and implementation services for secure networking environments
Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation
Manage the implementation process from design through acceptance
Assist internal groups with capacity planning, monitoring, maintenance, and review of secure data communications networks
Lead or assist migrations from traditional or legacy network security platforms to next-generation technologies
Assist network engineers with troubleshooting critical incidents and threat remediation related to network security products
Work with engineering teams to implement configuration guidelines, change management processes, and standard operating procedures
Lead, schedule, and coordinate activities with team members to resolve end-user problems
Generate weekly status reports including project progress, milestones, and completed tasks
Host weekly status meetings or calls as required
Qualification
Required
Associate degree
Active certifications as follows: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) Certification or Palo Alto Networks Network Security Professional Certification
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise or CCNA Security Certification
Preferred
Ten (10) years of CONUS technical experience in IT networking and network security
Associate's degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field, as determined by the client
Certifications that are currently active or expired within three (3) years of proposal submission as follows: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Certification or Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall Engineer Certification or Palo Alto Networks Network Security Analyst Certification or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or CCNP Security Certification
Resource must work independently and provide mentoring to junior associates
Strong communication and presentation skills are required
Ability to produce technical documentation, diagrams, project plans, and schedules
Personal devices and external cloud storage solutions are not permitted
