Responsibilities
Solve problems in distributed and concurrent computing, including cross-datacenter geo-replication, disaster recovery, work distribution, and large-scale data migration
Collaborate in an agile environment, interacting with major Office 365 teams to build cross-service integrations
Partner with stakeholders to define user requirements and incorporate feedback from multiple channels into designs and solutions
Develop extensible, maintainable, and reliable code, applying diagnosability principles and reusing components where applicable
Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), monitoring systems for degradation or downtime and restoring service for simple issues
Drive improvements in engineering processes, ensuring quality, managing risks, dependencies, and trade-offs
Embody Microsoft’s Culture and Values in all aspects of work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of full-stack experience developing distributed web service applications with highly concurrent server-side code coding in C# OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
2+ years of experience creating, releasing, and evolving large commercial software components or products at scale
1+ year(s) experience with NOSQL databases and high volume / throughput web applications and their design
