Responsibilities
Reviews part design and develops proposals for new molds based on division capacity and commercial development needs
Place tooling order/contracts with suppliers and track timing and cost to ensure tools meet quality timing and pricing
Responsible to implement engineering changes within BCD and at outside suppliers using Clarios owned molds
Work with product Engineering, Operations and tool shops to ensure that the tool is capable and meets SOW
Assist process engineering in the troubleshooting process of underperforming molds
Assist process engineering in the set up and verification of a new mold in BCD plants
Manage purchase order and payment process, tool identification assignment, mold design documentation
Resolve/mitigate tooling issues (technical, timing, cost)
Travel 30-40%
Qualification
Required
BSME with 10 years' experience or commensurate experience with 15 years in industry
Capable of performing general tooling maintenance for purposes of instruction
Excel and MS project or like tracking software
General tool room equipment knowledge
Autocad/SolidWorks
