Contract Specialist
Onboard Systems is a leader in providing advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters. The Contract Specialist will support contractual and business efforts under the Mission Systems portfolio, ensuring effective contract execution while adhering to ethical standards and industry regulations.

Responsibilities
Drafts, generates, interprets, and manages small and large, complex agreements and contractual documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents align to business objectives
Providing contract administration support by reviewing, interpreting and negotiating contract requirements, contract change / modification impacts
Works closely with senior management on multi-business agreements
Performing proposal support, contract negotiation and administration assistance for programs and special projects as assigned
Advising Contracts and Program leadership of contractual rights, obligations and risks: conducting risk assessments, creating risk mitigation plans and proposing alternative approaches to contract execution through redlines
Serving as an authorized, empowered representative for Onboard Systems, interfacing with customer buying command representatives to build effective relationships and manage contracts to support operational/strategic business goals
Coordinating solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Contract Performance and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations
Investigating and reconciling significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, data requirements, schedules, etc
Supporting Contract Manager with collecting contractual data and compiling reports
Maintaining Contracts documents and administration systems for accuracy, searchability and to ensure full and complete records of all contract information is kept
Available to be on site at least 3 days a week
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of professional experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with 3 years of professional experience
Working Knowledge of the FAR/DFARS. This includes experience in interpreting and applying these regulations in government contracting and procurement processes, ensuring compliance, and staying updated with any changes or amendments
A critical thinker, possesses good analytical and problem solving skills
Proven ability to develop internal and external relationships; must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a virtual team environment; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain and evolve document retention, process, procedures
Excellent presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, and be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint
Proven ability to collaboratively interface with various disciplines such as Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Development or any related function
Prior experience with FAR Part 12 procurements, including collaborating with different functional disciplines in preparing commercial item assertion packages (technical and price reasonableness)
Preferred
Experience working in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred
NCMA Credentials (CFCM™, CCMA™, etc.) and other Industry-Specific Certifications a plus
