Responsibilities
Develop and oversee a monthly calendar of diverse and engaging activities
Coordinate individual and group programs tailored to various resident interests and abilities
Supervise and train activities staff and volunteers
Collaborate with nursing and therapy departments to promote participation and integration
Maintain accurate documentation of resident attendance and program effectiveness
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to therapeutic activities
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying levels of cognition and mobility
Familiarity with regulatory guidelines applicable to activity services in skilled nursing
Preferred
Experience in long-term care or geriatric programming preferred
Certified Activity Director (or eligibility to obtain certification) strongly preferred
