Responsibilities

Assists attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials

Manages filings in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and e-filing requirements

Organizes and maintains case files, tracking documents from clients, opposing parties, and other sources

Monitors active cases, manages calendars, docketing, and tickler systems, and ensures deadlines are met

Drafts correspondence and pleadings, assists with discovery requests, document production, and trial preparation

Conducts legal research using LEXIS, Westlaw, and other platforms, as well as factual investigations and due diligence

Proofreads legal documents for accuracy and completeness

Coordinates with outside vendors, including discovery and trial services providers

Required

Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience required

Must be experienced with Federal/State filings

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, especially in case file and document management

Proactive, self-motivated individual who works well both independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, ECF/Pacer, and other relevant legal support software

Preferred

Preferred experience in preparing for and attending depositions and trials
