Responsibilities

Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and negotiate sales
Perform Inside and Outside sales activities to acquire new customers as well as project-based work for current customers
Build and maintain customer relationships and be point of contact for current and potential customers
Demonstrate products to Engineers, Contractors and Wholesalers by way of samples, catalogues and PDH Approved Lunch and Learns
Develop relationships with Facility Managers, Building & Business Owners, and other buyers using a consultative sales approach
Prepare marketing and sales reports and implement marketing projects
Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace
Comfortable facilitating or leading training sessions for groups of 15 to 20 attendees
Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Sr. Manager NY Sales or Company management
Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, and Transparency
Travel Requirements:
Overnight Travel: 10%
Territory Travel: 90% (local travel)

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, and/or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or 4 plus years of equivalent work experience
Proven ability to develop new business and close sales and proven business development skills and demeanor
Experience working in the Plumbing and HVAC Industry
Technically oriented individual. Must possess strong computer software skills (familiarity with social media, email, CRM, spreadsheets, and document programs)
Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into solutions
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and close multiple sales leads
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers, internally and externally
Highly motivated, self-starter who can handle workload and take initiative
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Coordination and influencing skills
Strong team player, work ethic and committed to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills
Quick learner with high energy and a positive attitude
Knowledgeable about the software sales cycle

Proven project management skills to influence people in an organization and the ability to balance multiple priorities and deals at same time
Experience in negotiation of sales opportunities and contract terms
Products include Water Heaters, Expansion Products include Water Heaters, Expansion Tanks, Digital Mixing Valves, Commercial Pumps
Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable
Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
