Required

5+ years of relevant engineering experience for Senior Engineer

8+ years of relevant engineering experience for Staff Engineer

Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles

Skilled in advanced techniques and modification of theories, precepts, and practices

Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead

Strong personal computer skills

In-depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs

Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills

Extensive knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and practices for Staff Engineer

Full knowledge of business/financial and contractual matters for Staff Engineer

Recognized expert by other engineers and management in assigned area for Staff Engineer

Provides expert technical advice to other engineers and management for Staff Engineer

Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)

Effective decision-making skills

Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices

Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems

Ability to process information quickly and manage multiple tasks

Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment

Computer skills and application of software programs (e.g., Matlab, Excel)

Bachelor's in Engineering required

Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program

Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord

Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math, or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited

Hold or have previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license
