Responsibilities
Manage Quality Technicians to ensure conformity to customer, company, and regulatory standards, while maintaining high productivity and technical integrity
Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, and paid time off
Coach, mentor, and develop staff; including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisals and issuing discipline as needed
Participate in internal audits and support corrective action identification and implementation
Fill in for Quality Technicians as needed
Retrieve case samples from QC lab for analysis, customers, and holds
Perform incubation sample inspections
Qualification
Required
High School diploma required, associate's or bachelor's degree preferred in Food Science/Technology or related scientific discipline
Minimum of 3 years of work experience preferably in a Food and Beverage manufacturing environment
2+ years supervisory or related experience
Demonstrated experience developing policies and procedures, including quality measurements, root cause analysis and problem resolution
Strong analytical skills
