Field Service Representative I

Responsibilities
Acts as a liaison between Service and Regional Sales Management (RSM) to support customer service initiatives
Serves as a point of contact for dealers, end users, and field sales regarding “in-the-field” technical needs
Participates in field requirements related to product warranty and repair claims
Supports Regional Sales Manager in product training for dealers/end users to meet territory needs
Serves as a positive emissary of the company at all times
Assists with the development and testing of new ideas and products as requested
Participates in product improvement and enhancement efforts
Conducts training of employees, dealers, and end-users in the proper use and repair of all of the company's products
Works with dealers and end users regarding operation and maintenance of the company's products. Conducts training for initial startup of company products/equipment
Attends and professionally represents the company at selected trade shows
Assists with the collection of field data on equipment use, customer requirements, and industry trends as requested
Demonstrates a good attendance record; is aware of the impact that missing work will have on the customer as well as co-workers
Completes goals/projects on time or ahead of schedule
Responds to work assignments and requests by being cooperative and available
Follows through and meets commitments
Available as a resource to subordinates and/or peers
Follows safety procedures, protocols, policies, and adheres to all SAFESTART concepts, and acts when others are not holding themselves accountable

Qualification
Required
An Associate's degree or two-year certificate in vocational technologies/industrial arts with two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Ability to submit accurate and timely reports
Knowledge and/or experience in the installation of hydraulics and control systems. Experience with truck mounted or mobile equipment is preferable
Ability to work with hand tools is required. Will use own hand tools and company provided specialty tools
Ability to navigate computer systems/databases and create basic spreadsheets and word documents
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, distinguish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
