Human Resource Generalist II

PTSD Foundation Of America is committed to enhancing the overall HR function within the organization. The Human Resource Generalist II is responsible for managing a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, and compliance with labor laws, while fostering employee engagement and supporting organizational growth.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee records
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Coordinate recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening candidates, and facilitating interviews
Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Support performance management processes including performance reviews and employee development plans
Assist in resolving employee relations issues by conducting investigations and recommending solutions
Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs
Maintain HR metrics and prepare reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 3 years of professional experience in human resources or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States
Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels

Preferred

Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent
Experience working in a mid to large-sized organization with diverse employee populations
Familiarity with talent acquisition strategies and employee engagement initiatives
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools
