IMCS Group is seeking a Patient Financial Advocate to perform thorough financial screenings of patients. The role involves patient education on insurance benefits and billing processes, ensuring accounts are cleared for billing, and obtaining necessary insurance authorizations.

Responsibilities

Perform a thorough financial screening of patients
Ensure that all accounts have been cleared for billing
Obtain insurance authorization for services
Secure payment arrangements (including collection of co-payment/coinsurance) prior to patient discharge and for major outpatient services
Identify other potential payment sources (including Financial Assistance program, initiating/completing the Medical Assistance application process)
Provide costs estimates

Required

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Must be able to work under considerable stress, using tact and diplomacy
