The Assistant Camp Director will support the Camp Director by overseeing daily camp activities, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of programs.

Responsibilities
Assist with camp administration, such as organizing materials, managing records, updating the Class Dojo app, and assisting in coordinating field trip/guest speaker events
Ability to co-develop and deliver high-quality pre-camp staff training with the Camp Director
Empower, train, and collaborate with Camp Teachers, offering guidance and support to enhance their teaching skills
Contribute to professional development through observations and feedback with subordinate staff
Contribute to program development, and step in as a substitute teacher when necessary
Address camper needs, respond to parental concerns, and ensure overall camper well-being
Foster a harmonious team atmosphere among staff, promoting collaboration and camaraderie
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or two years of experience in environmental education, interpretation, recreation, or teaching at nature-based centers/camps
Possess a valid driver's license, be at least 21 years old, and have a clean driving record to ensure safe transportation of campers
Excellent communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving capabilities
Proven commitment, reliability, punctuality, responsibility, and leadership skills, with a focus on managing camper behavior
Demonstrate enthusiasm for outdoor education, adapting to weather conditions while keeping campers motivated and safe
Physical stamina for outdoor work in all weather conditions and ability to be active throughout day-to-day responsibilities; emotional resilience and social skills to connect with campers and staff
