Responsibilities
Provide oversight of the Credit Trading desk and monitor market risk exposure
Ensure compliance with trading desk limits and tolerances
Identify and evaluate market risk generated by IG/HY Credit and Structured Product desks
Build strong relationships with trading desks to understand ongoing strategies
Review new business and product proposals, including risk limit setting and monitoring
Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and identify top risks/outlier events
Monitor portfolio and market changes to provide insights to senior management
Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for management and regulators
Communicate and escalate significant risks or noteworthy items at appropriate forums
Perform special projects and additional duties as required
Qualification
Required
2–4 years' experience in market risk management, specifically in credit and structured credit
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline
Strong knowledge of financial products, risk representations (including Greeks), and risk management concepts (VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple high-priority deliverables
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging diverse stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment
Technical skills in automation tools (Power BI, VBA); coding ability is a plus
Ability to lead risk function development and collaborate across business units
