Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and scale a distributed Voice Engineering & Operations team
Own voice platform performance including capacity planning, reliability, routing optimization, and platform upgrades
Drive modernization initiatives, including TDM to VoIP migrations
Maintain ownership of critical operational and regulatory domains, including:
E911 / NG911
STIR/SHAKEN
SS7
LERG and translation updates
CALEA
Traceback coordination
Manage vendors and external partners while driving cross-functional execution with Product, Sales, IT, NOC, and Regulatory teams
Support capital planning and maintain accountability for voice-related budgets

Qualification

Required

15+ years of experience in telecommunications with deep expertise in voice engineering
10+ years of experience leading technical or engineering teams
Strong hands-on knowledge of SIP/VoIP, RTP/SDP, QoS, IP networking, and voice feature delivery

Preferred

Class 4 / Class 5 switching or hybrid central office environments (e.g., Metaswitch, 5ESS, DMS)
Packet analysis and troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark
Hosted or cloud-based voice platforms
