Optomi, in partnership with a leading electric power and gas distribution company, is seeking a Senior SDET / Automation QA Engineer to fulfill a long-term contract opportunity. This role is heavily focused on backend processing, data validation, and regression test automation, allowing for the design and implementation of new automation frameworks and regression suites.

Required

Strong experience as an Automation QA Engineer or SDET

Proficiency in Python for test automation

Experience with automated regression testing in complex systems

Hands-on experience testing backend services, data processing, and system integrations

Familiarity with enterprise testing tools such as ALM, qTest, or similar

Ability to design scalable, maintainable automation frameworks

Background in test automation framework design

Experience working in environments with multiple automation tools and frameworks

Preferred

Experience testing GIS or data-heavy platforms
