Equipment Specialist, Senior

They are seeking a Senior Equipment Specialist to provide technical support for various weapon systems and assist with operational safety and effectiveness requirements.

Responsibilities
Provide direct technical support for missiles, bomb racks, aircraft/SOF guns systems, small arms, launchers, associated support equipment and containers
Assist munitions/weapons field-level personnel in all matters of repair, sustainment, and deficiency resolution issues and provide immediate responses to interface activation issues
Apply the required knowledge and experience to advise Single Managers, Major Command Action Officers, and Chief Engineers on matters affecting system operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness (OSS&E) requirements
Interact on a technical basis and prepare and present technical briefings to high-level DoD and/or foreign military personnel
Apply a working knowledge of all applicable regulatory directives, guidance, and policies
Perform prepublication and post-publication technical order (TO) reviews, conduct validation and verification of TOs diagrams and procedures and provide TO support IAW USAF TO regulations including 00-5 series instructions and 00-25 series instructions
Provide customer support to field users, lead and using command members, IPT members, section and branch leads, etc
Recommend changes or supplements and provide technical content management by identifying, developing, and validating all known or expected technical data requirements for Government or commercial technical manuals, TOs/time compliance technical orders (TCTOs), and specifications; process specifications or user manuals; work control documents; and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs)
Apply knowledge and experience to provide the following: Application and support of configuration management, including supporting Configuration Control Board processes for respective programs; Management of and assistance with deficiency reporting, investigation, and resolution; Support of modification management for respective weapon systems; Documentation of maintenance data; Provisioning; Support equipment recommendation data; Establishment of new items and cataloguing; Support development, revision and test of demilitarization procedures to ensure critical technologies are protected; Class V munitions management; Software management; and Mishap investigation
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship
8 years relevant experience on supported weapon system
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
In addition to the requirements in 3.8, the Contractor shall provide direct technical support for missiles, bomb racks, aircraft/SOF guns systems, small arms, launchers, associated support equipment and containers
Be able to interact on a technical basis and prepare and present technical briefings to high-level DoD and/or foreign military personnel
Be familiar with CONUS and OCONUS travel preparation and policies and have the capability and willingness to travel overseas to potentially hazardous locations
