Responsibilities
Provide air freight rates and origin/destination door costs for all global air rate inquiries on a daily basis, including RFQs
Coordinate with overseas offices to obtain U.S. import air rates, origin pickup, destination delivery, and local charges as required
Obtain and negotiate air export contract rates directly with air carriers and/or co-loaders for U.S. export shipments
Actively and effectively communicate with customers, outside sales teams, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders
Assist the air operations team with booking shipments using proper routings and contracted carrier rates to ensure pricing accuracy
Monitor and resolve daily air shipment–related issues , both domestic and international
Maintain close contact with customers, monitor shipment performance, and proactively address service or pricing needs
Build, manage, and update air pricing databases and reports for management review
Support continuous improvement of pricing strategies and customer service performance
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on air pricing experience in the global freight forwarding or logistics industry
Experience negotiating rates with air carriers and co-loaders
Strong understanding of air import and export pricing structures
Excellent computer skills (pricing systems, Excel, internal databases)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong multitasking and time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This role is intended for candidates at an Assistant Manager level; entry-level candidates will not be considered
Preferred
BA or Associate Degree preferred
