Responsibilities

Develop a ROS 2-based robotic simulation pipeline for controller design
Create case studies to understand system capabilities and limitations
Develop, modify, and implement software packages for practical applications
Create evaluation criteria to test and assess system effectiveness
Support robotic controller testing on real robots
Present technical results and provide recommendations based on case studies

Required

Understanding of control theory and implementation of control algorithms for robotic manipulation tasks
Prior experience with ROS 2, including control messages and plugins
Knowledge of collision physics and dynamics for contact-rich manipulation
Ability to use physics models for contact-based manipulation tasks
Proficiency in coding and scripting in Python, C++, and ROS 2
Experience with simulation tools such as Webots, Mujoco, Drake, CopelliaSim, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo
Strong understanding of robotics fundamentals
Curious, collaborative team player with the ability to thrive in a small team environment
Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's or PhD), preferably focusing on Robotics, Controls, or Motion Planning for manipulators
