8+ years expProspect Infosystem Inc. is seeking two Microsoft .NET Web Developer III’s to join the Department of Natural Resources, DNR IT Custom Application Development Section. The role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining solutions and features for applications in a Microsoft .NET environment integrated with Oracle databases, while providing reliable support for various projects and systems.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, implement and maintain solutions and features for applications in Microsoft .NET environment integrated with Oracle database
Provide reliable, responsive support for projects and systems as developed along with existing system support as assigned
Work on new development, enhancements and/or providing support for existing applications as determined by agency priorities
Understand the interactions between applications and services within the DNR environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions
Stay on top of technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and agency standards as well as emerging business requirements
Understand user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables
Plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks independently
Collaborate closely with team members and DNR Application Architect Lead for application solutions and development plans
Qualification
Required
Advanced level application development skill sets including analysis, design and development within Microsoft .Net environment. (8+ yrs)
Coding experience in .Net framework with MVC including C#, JavaScript and Bootstrap. (8+ yrs)
Experience applying accessibility and security standards to custom applications. (6+ yrs)
Experience developing applications with relational databases including designing, writing stored procedures, performance tuning and SQL (Oracle preferred/SQL Server). (8+ yrs)
Experience working in Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated, code management and CI/CD. (4+ years)
Meets all DNR Skillset requirements
Experience applying Object Oriented Design
Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications
Experience in Power BI for developing reports
Experience creating web API's
Experience following coding standards and best practices
Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results
Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices
Experience resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
Experience following Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance
Experience understanding defined requirements by identifying and implementing achievable solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including describing technical items to non-technical staff
Experience writing technical documentation
Collaborates and shares information with others and is a team player to ensure project success and business needs are met
Awareness of IT Infrastructure
Awareness of Accessibility requirements and custom application design solutions or standards to comply
Ability to meet project timelines
Ability to provide input into task estimates
Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills
Ability to work independently to conduct research and review application code to apply design, coding and testing principles
Excellent customer service

Preferred
Experience working at DNR or in another Government agency
Experience working with Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, etc
Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs
