Senior Estates Specialist (SME)

They are seeking an experienced Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in deceased estate administration to manage complex processes associated with deceased client accounts, estate settlements, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary expert resource for deceased estate matters across the organization
Review and validate estate documentation including death certificates, letters of testamentary, probate documents, and executor authorizations
Coordinate the transfer or liquidation of securities, options, futures, and other financial instruments held in deceased accounts
Ensure proper handling of outstanding trades, margin positions, and corporate actions for deceased accounts
Liaise with legal counsel and compliance teams on complex or high-value estate matters
Qualification
Required
Deep expertise in managing the complex processes associated with deceased client accounts, estate settlements, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Ability to serve as the primary expert resource for deceased estate matters across the organization
Experience in reviewing and validating estate documentation including death certificates, letters of testamentary, probate documents, and executor authorizations
Coordination of the transfer or liquidation of securities, options, futures, and other financial instruments held in deceased accounts
Ensuring proper handling of outstanding trades, margin positions, and corporate actions for deceased accounts
Liaising with legal counsel and compliance teams on complex or high-value estate matters
Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Active hands-on person able to deliver quality and volume
Preferred
Law degree, paralegal certification, other relevant qualification or significant demonstratable relevant experience
Experience with international estates and cross-border asset transfers
Knowledge of estate planning strategies and trust structures
Experience working in a global financial institution
