Responsibilities

Design / modify process automation and manufacturing equipment

Lead multiple projects with minimal supervision

Prepare estimates for various tasks and projects

Lead capital projects both directly and through coordinating engineers

Drive Continuous Improvement Activities

Collaborate with plant and corporate groups as well as contractors and vendors

Run start-up, debug, and commission new manufacturing processes

Equipment life cycle management including: upgrades, replacement, and decommissioning

Provide technical support to facilities and process related equipment

Demonstrate proactive communication and problem solving

Responsible for supporting and achieving Value Improvement Projects (VIP’s)

Responsible for adhering to FDA Design Control standards at all times

Generate technical documents, reports, equipment specifications, and interpret technical drawings/schematics

Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering required

1 or more years Engineering / Manufacturing experience, FDA regulated preferred

Programming experience with automation controls, PLC's, and HMI's

Design software experience (like AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.)

Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form

Ability to work as a collaborative team member

Ability to tackle routine design and engineering problems

Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings

Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members

Must have basic programming proficiency and want to learn

Role will focus Allen Bradley Controls, Rockwell Software (FactoryTalk View ME / SE), PowerFlex VFDs, Wonderware, etc

Preferred

Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer degrees are preferred

Project Management skills and experience (including Microsoft Project software) are a plus

Lean Manufacturing skills and experience are a plus
