The role involves performing clerical duties, providing information, training employees, and coordinating efforts related to behavioral health issues and emergency management.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Performs all clerical duties for department
Answers telephone inquiries and/or routes to appropriate person
Provides information as requested and assists other employees, attorneys, and the public
Trains other employees and assists co-workers with duties
Interfaces with other County departments to effect inter-departmental action in areas of mutual concern
Tracks and monitors budget expenditures; orders and stock supplies
Prepares travel authorizations and makes travel arrangements for department personnel
Process incoming and interoffice mail
Notarize documents as needed
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers
Administrative support involving behavioral health issues (in the office, in collaborative meetings, and/or virtually when approved)
Coordinate CIT Transports and administrate the required documentation
Coordinate efforts between FBCSO Communications Division / EMS first responders and Mental Health Authorities to effectively capture data regarding persons experiencing a behavioral health crisis
Provide administrative assistance where appropriate to aid in preventing crisis situations
Perform administrative duties to ensure that Team goals and reporting are fulfilled
Act as a resource to other FBCSO personnel concerning behavioral/ mental health crisis issues
This qualified professional will participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers

Required

Valid Texas Driver's License
High School Diploma/GED
3 years job related experience
Good computer and typing skills (minimum 60 WPM), 10-Key by touch; basic bookkeeping skills; strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials
Training in office management, working knowledge of County government and Texas justice system
