Responsibilities
End-to-end manufacturing process performance for assigned products and production lines
Day-to-day engineering support to production, serving as the primary escalation point for process, equipment, and workflow issues
Creation, control, and continuous improvement of visual work instructions and SOPs that are actively used on the floor
Identification and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce downtime, increase yield, and enhance quality
Root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues
Production equipment ownership, including selection, setup, maintenance planning, and safe operation
Training and support of operators and technicians on processes, equipment, and controls
Collaboration with R&D during new product introductions, ensuring smooth handoff from design to production
Development and tracking of process metrics and performance data to drive improvement decisions
Support of offshore manufacturing partners, including occasional international travel (1–2 trips per year) as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
3+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
Proven ability to own, stabilize, and improve manufacturing processes
Strong problem-solving background, including root cause analysis, FMEA, and structured improvement methods (DMAIC or similar)
Experience creating and maintaining clear, visual work instructions and SOPs
Comfortable spending significant time on the production floor, responding to real-time issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills across operators, technicians, and engineers
Open to Travel overseas 1-2 times a year
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities independently
Preferred
Six Sigma and/or ISO experience
Spanish language skills
Experience supporting offshore or contract manufacturing environments
