System Administrator

They are seeking a System Administrator to provide IT systems administration support, manage core services, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to ensure compliance with security requirements.

Responsibilities
Provide IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
Manage and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), and server replication
Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues involving integration of hardware, operating systems, and software applications
Implement and manage data RAID, backup, and recovery technologies
Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain compliance with security requirements
Install, configure, and document software applications requested by end users
Provide user and system documentation, process training, and ongoing technical support
Participate in on-call or after-hours system maintenance as required to support 24x7 operations
Travel up to 5% domestically based on business needs
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, MySQL, Windows or Linux system administration, and network administration
Ability to meet Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date
Preferred
Operating System Certification (Microsoft, Red Hat, etc.)
Experience with NISPOM or DoD/RMF compliance
Experience in: Windows Desktop and Server management, Data storage (NAS/SAN) solutions
IT project lifecycle management
VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX
Microsoft WSUS and Exchange
Supporting software, simulation, and hardware engineering environments
High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
Scripting/Automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
