Responsibilities
Develop data visualizations and dashboards using analytics tools (primarily Google Looker) that give the campus insights into our business operations, student success, and more
Have a broad and deep perspective on data needs for each unique group of end users to develop scalable analytics and provide data in a way that can inform decision-making in both the present and the future
Be mindful of how to effectively present data to ease end user understanding of the data and allow them to quickly find insights in it
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify data trends and anomalies, finding insights the users may be interested in
Analyze data integrity issues and work with data engineers and data stewards to resolve issues and provide proactive monitoring of quality
Consult with data stewards to gather and clarify data definitions for highly complex business intelligence solutions and analytics
Ensure that all reporting and development processes and standards are adhered to during the entire data request lifecycle
Serve as a technical lead on the team with deep knowledge of our tools, best practices, and semantic modeling
Provide guidance and support to other team members as required
Qualification
Required

Have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position
Comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements
