Responsibilities

The Assistant Program Director will manage the daily operations of the summer day camp programs
Establishes relationships with individual children and families and being responsive to their needs
Ensure all children receive enriching educational programming with a focus on positive experiences and child outcomes
Provides assistance to staff in developing the summer camp curriculum that is fortified with meaningful experiences while meeting the needs and interests of the group and individual child
Assist in interview and hire qualified staff
Supervise and provide appropriate orientation and training for summer camp staff

Qualification

Youth development experienceLeadership skillsAdministrative skillsOrganizational skillsCommunication skills

Required

GED or college degree
Minimum of 2 years' experience working primarily with preschool, school age, or summer camp children
Strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills
Must be able to effectively communicate with children, parents, and staff
