Natural Resource Program Specialist 1 (Seasonal) - Pymatuning State Park
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is committed to preserving natural resources and is seeking a Natural Resource Program Specialist 1 for Pymatuning State Park. In this role, you will support aquatic and terrestrial natural resource programs, enhance visitor safety, and educate the public on park rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
Support the bureau’s aquatic and terrestrial natural resource initiatives
Engage in a range of tasks related to forest management, wildlife habitat management, lake water quality, invasive species control, stream enhancement, prescribed fire, and recreation projects, either independently or as part of a team
Qualification
Required
Two years of professional experience in natural resource management or natural resource education
A bachelor's degree in natural resource management, parks and recreation, education, biology, forestry, ecology, geosciences, environmental sciences, or a closely related field
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a valid Class C driver's license that is not under suspension
Meet the PA residency requirement
Ability to perform essential job functions
Obtain Pesticide Applicator License (Categories 9 and 23) within 1 year of hire and maintain this license
Pass a background investigation
Submit and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
