Research Project Specialist
The Center for Public Partnerships & Research is a research center supporting social science researchers at the University of Kansas. The Research Project Specialist will provide administrative support for projects, including event planning, project coordination, and participant recruitment.

Responsibilities
Addresses requests from an interdisciplinary project team offering evidence-based technology education for all populations
Provides administrative assistance to project PI
Assists with project team meetings, workshops, research activities and events
Assists with participant recruitment and retention
Assists with project coordination, implementation, administrative procedures
Coordinates workshop sessions with community partners
Develops internal and external communication plans for community and participant events
Documents participant progress in research and education participation
Creates promotional materials for project activities
Other tasks or projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's OR high school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in field of study
One (1) year of work experience in administrative support work, communication, event planning, or related area
Excellent written communication skills as evidenced by application materials
Excellent organizational skills and experience working independently as demonstrated in application materials
Preferred
Experience planning and coordinating events as evidenced by application materials
Experience working in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment as evidenced by application materials
Experience that required synthesizing complex ideas and information relevant to particular all audiences as evidenced in application materials
Experience with social media platforms and messaging as evidenced by application materials
