Furnitureland South is seeking an Information Technology Intern with a special focus on AI research and development to play a vital role in their AI-driven initiatives. As an intern, you will actively participate in researching, integrating, and developing AI tools and services for various IT projects, contributing to cutting-edge advancements within the company.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating new reports to use companywide

Gain experience in website development

Collaborate on improving and/or rewriting data integrations, with a focus on AI applications

Work with process and dataflow maps

Gain and overall understand of the enterprise landscape at Furnitureland South

Gain hands-on experience in various IT disciplines, particularly in AI research and development

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Must be enrolled in a four-year college/university or an individual enrolled in a two-year college with at least one year of relevant work experience

Preferred

Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI technologies and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn

Practical knowledge of building and training machine learning models

Proficiency in Python for AI development, including data manipulation, model training, and scripting

Familiarity with libraries like NumPy, pandas, and Matplotlib for data analysis and visualization

Understanding of core machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation

Previous involvement in AI research projects, either through coursework, personal projects, or internships, showcasing practical AI application and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation

Exposure to Business Intelligence tools or concepts, enhancing the ability to extract insights from data
