Senior SEO/AEO Content Specialist

Responsibilities

Utilizing various data sources—Google Search Console, Google Analytics, keyword research tools, and LLM SaaS tools—to create multimedia content strategies that drive visibility and engagement
Leading client projects, driving the strategic direction and decisions
Optimizing existing webpages and writing new content, including academic program pages, blog posts, and thought leadership, to enhance search and AI engine visibility and citations
Optimizing images, videos, and Google Business Profiles
Analyzing performance, creating Google Looker Studio dashboards, and presenting strategic results to clients
Leading AEO and SEO Workshops for large groups of people in a virtual environment
Innovating new solutions and strategies for utilizing AI to drive efficiency and output

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, or related field
5-7 years of experience in professional writing and SEO
Strong editorial and communication skills
Some technical SEO knowledge
Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Looker Studio
Excellent organization and time management skills are a must in this role, as you will work with several institutions at once and meet various deadlines for each

Preferred

Experience with or a passion for higher education marketing
Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
