Senior Paralegal - Intellectual Property Trademarks
Walmart Canada is seeking a Trademark Senior Paralegal to join their Intellectual Property Center of Expertise. The role involves supporting trademark attorneys with trademark-related inquiries, maintaining trademark dockets, and ensuring compliance with trademark filing and prosecution practices.

Responsibilities
Support a global trademark portfolio by applying expert knowledge and understanding of U.S. and foreign trademark filing and prosecution practices and trademark formalities
Coordinate, support, and supervise outside counsel during all stages of trademark review, clearance, and opinion work, including trademark filing, prosecution, and renewals, managing of deadlines and facilitating signing and filing of documents
Manage and maintain an internal trademark database, ensure data quality, and generate dashboards and reports to track relevant trademark statistics and metrics
Establish and maintain internal best practices and procedures to support the company’s trademark program, including keeping and updating process documents and outside counsel guidelines
Assist trademark attorneys on all matters related to trademarks and copyright
Respond to routine business inquiries related to trademark and copyright matters
Develop and conduct training for business teams and other internal groups
Qualification
Required
A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description
OR 3 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description
OR a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Preferred
A national recognized paralegal certification in a relevant specialty area of the law (for example, NALS, NALA)
Relevant specialty area of law in a law firm or corporate legal environment
