Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency treatments
Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
Assist with trauma resuscitation and emergency procedures
Operate and monitor medical equipment used in emergency care
Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and support staff
Provide patient and family education with empathy and clarity
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room or acute care experience preferred
Experience with trauma, critical care, or high-acuity patients is a plus
