Vice President of Sales (Advisor Recruiting)
Magellan Financial is a national, independent financial distribution and marketing company seeking a hands-on Vice President of Sales to lead and develop a team of recruiters. The role involves recruiting top independent financial advisors and managing P&L outcomes while actively participating in high-stakes closing.
Responsibilities
Recruit independent financial advisors to our platform
Lead and develop a team of 10-12 recruiters
Handle 20-50% of high-stakes closing personally
Model the intensity required to win in recruiting
Engage directly in sales and recruiting activities, avoiding remote work
Sell multi-million dollar business partnerships to entrepreneurs
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in recruiting independent financial advisors
Experience leading and developing a team of recruiters
Ability to own P&L outcomes for advisor acquisition
Hands-on leadership style with a focus on high-stakes closing
Willingness to work on-site in Topeka, KS
Strong sales skills, particularly in selling multi-million dollar business partnerships
Ability to thrive in a high-velocity sales environment
Experience in selling verified results rather than promises
Preferred
Experience in the financial services industry
Track record of increasing advisor production
Experience with hybrid RIAs and insurance producers
