Responsibilities

Capture the lived reality of building Oh! Love Ya Dawn — meetings, creative work, programs, partnerships, and pivotal moments
Conduct and record remote interviews and conversations with team members, collaborators, and partners across locations
Film internal and external conversations with discretion, empathy, and narrative intent
Contribute meaningfully to a long-form documentary project that evolves alongside the organization
Produce short- and long-form video for Creative Media use, internal storytelling, archives, and select public platforms
Combine vérité-style footage with remote interviews, archival material, and intentional visual sequences
Support video needs across Company and Foundation initiatives within realistic travel and budget constraints
Work closely with the Sr. Director, Creative Media and the broader Creative Media team
Collaborate with Oh! Media when appropriate, while remaining embedded on the Company/Foundation side
Coordinate respectfully with leadership, research, programs, and safeguarding teams — many of whom are remote or hybrid
Help establish and maintain a growing video archive that becomes part of OLYD’s long-term institutional memory
Ensure footage (in-person and remote) is organized, labeled, and usable for future storytelling, media, and historical record
Comfort conducting high-quality remote interviews and working creatively with offsite contributors

Required

Strong documentary instincts — you know when to observe, when to ask, and when to step back
Ability to tell cohesive stories using a mix of in-person and remote footage
Comfort working with distributed teams and asynchronous schedules
Experience filming and editing independently (DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile setups welcome)
Proficiency with editing tools such as Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
Judgment and care when working in environments connected to children, families, and trauma-aware work
Alignment with mission-driven storytelling over hype-driven content
Candidates must have their own camera, audio, lighting, and editing setup
Must be comfortable conducting high-quality remote interviews and working creatively with offsite contributors

Benefits

Equity ownership in Oh! Love Ya Dawn Company is granted at the outset, subject to standard vesting.
Cash compensation will be introduced as capital and revenue stabilize.
Additional paid project work, expanded scope, or increased hours may be layered in ahead of a formal salary.
Long-term paths may include senior creative or leadership responsibility, depending on alignment and growth.
