Responsibilities

Assist leading RSC Traffic Departments through the organization’s growth and financial objectives, ensuring a seamless world-class outbound delivery experience across Ace and Emery Jensen retailers
Drive a culture of safety, service, financial, and operational excellence
Lead, coach, orchestrate, mentor, and support the Logistics Managers ensuring adherence and accountability to the departmental goals
Foster close relationships with local Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Common & Final Mile carriers as well as Outbound Warehouse Mgmt Team
Participate in the monthly performance and annual budget reviews, connecting financial KPIs and operational results, outputting actionable recommendations that address negative trends
Collaborate across all areas including but not limited to: Corporate Inbound Traffic, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, IT, Outside Service Providers, Care Center, and the RSC Logistic Managers & Traffic Teams
Conduct safety & compliance Audits at the direction of the Corporate Fleet Safety & Compliance Manager during onsite visits
Influence for their region on network design, process improvement, delivery mode selection, on time delivery, fleet & equipment needs, route review, budget and financial support, driver pay, dock to driver, training programs, recruitment & retention and assist in developing the go-forward plan to help support a seamless delivery experience for our Ace & EJD Retailers
Support, develop, execute, and ensure adherence to the standard operating procedures across all RSC’s Traffic Departments
Review each job/title within the local Traffic Departments that creates and supports a progressive succession plan for each role
Ensure corporate transportation strategy adherence, provide operational support and feedback for all aspects of delivering to our Ace & EJD Retailers safely and on time

Required

Display the Ace Values (WELIGHT)
Bachelor's degree in logistics/transportation, engineering, business administration, or related field experience
7+ years working experience in the transportation/logistics operations environment with Fleet Management Experience preferred
Supply Chain Operations Experience
Distribution Operations Experience
Inventory Control Experience
Excellent data mining and analysis skills
Good organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage a high-volume workload
Strong engagement and partnership skills with the ability to both understand and deliver established results
Must be a team player with good collaboration skills
Exceptional verbal and written
Ability to travel up to 45%
