Manager, Standards Development and Committee Operations
INDUSTRIAL TRUCK ASSOCIATION (ITA) is seeking a Manager, Standards Development and Committee Operations to assist with the engineering aspects of subjects under deliberation by the industry. This position plays a key role in managing technical committees, ensuring compliance with ANSI and ISO processes, and supporting the advancement of industry safety standards.

Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of an SDO maintaining 12 American National Standards and supporting approximately 90 committee members
Prepare and distribute meeting notices, agendas, proposals, ballots, and minutes
Edit and publish approved standards to the association website
Serve as Secretary for standards committees and as Secretary & Treasurer on the Board of Trustees
Administer the online platform used for document posting and electronic balloting
Serve as U.S. Technical Advisory Group (USTAG) Administrator for three subcommittees responsible for 56 ISO standards
Manage the distribution and coordination of ISO ballots, resolve conflicting U.S. positions, and submit responses through ANSI
Serve as Secretary for USTAG meetings and attend ISO meetings as Secretary for one Working Group (WG) and one Joint Working Group (JWG)
Lead U.S. delegations at select international meetings
Manage the association’s General Engineering Committee, including meeting logistics, documentation, and follow-up
Oversee training programs for OSHA compliance officers (2–3 times per year), providing technical assistance and occasional presentations
Represent the association as a committee member on external standards organizations such as MHI, UL, and NFPA
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 7 years of experience in standards development or technical program management
Strong knowledge of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) process; experience with ISO or IEC standards is preferred
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet externally driven deadlines
Willingness and ability to travel 45–90 days per year, including international travel (remote participation is not permitted for international meetings)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline strongly preferred
