Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and validate data from internal, third-party, and public-sector sources to ensure analytical accuracy and integrity
Conduct in-depth market, demographic, and sector analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Utilize statistical and analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights tailored to each project’s scope
Perform feasibility, sector, and economic impact analyses to support real estate and economic development initiatives
Stay current on market conditions, industry trends, and emerging analytical tools relevant to commercial real estate and public-sector advisory work
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate development feasibility, investment performance, and risk scenarios
Prepare financial forecasts, sensitivity analyses, and scenario testing to support strategic decision-making
Produce clear, concise financial analyses and written recommendations for senior leadership and clients
Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data used across reports, presentations, and client deliverables
Produce high-quality reports, exhibits, and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, ESRI/ArcGIS, and related tools
Translate complex analytical findings into compelling visual and written narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with the analytics and data science teams to fully leverage geospatial and visualization platforms
Support senior leadership in defining scopes of work and analytical approaches for awarded projects
Manage project-level analytical budgets, including hourly tracking and resource allocation
Lead and coordinate work assignments for other analysts contributing to assigned projects
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality analytical outputs across multiple concurrent engagements
Serve as a point of contact for clients on assigned projects, including ongoing and on-call engagements
Present findings to clients in meetings, workshops, and public forums as required
Attend and represent the firm at industry events, municipal meetings, and conferences
Maintain client relationships and contribute to identifying opportunities for new or expanded engagements
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, project managers, and data science professionals
Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring junior analytics staff
Build and maintain strong knowledge of municipal structures, public-sector processes, and economic development best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Analytics, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
Strong financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical capabilities
Experience with market research, real estate analysis, and report writing
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public presentation
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a client-driven environment
Demonstrated ability to lead analytical workstreams and collaborate across teams
Preferred
Familiarity with ESRI/ArcGIS and geospatial analysis tools preferred
Experience with InDesign or advanced presentation tools is a plus
Experience in commercial real estate, economic development, consulting, or public-sector advisory work
Real estate license preferred but not required
