They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of workers’ compensation cases in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive paralegal support throughout the lifecycle of workers’ compensation cases, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met

Draft and prepare workers’ compensation documents including applications, petitions, responses, and settlement agreements for attorney review

Organize, review, and summarize medical records relevant to workers’ compensation claims

Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and responding to inquiries with professionalism and empathy

Apply Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission rules and procedures for filings, hearings, and case progression

Conduct factual and legal research related to Illinois workers’ compensation claims

Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records within the firm’s case management system
