Development & Operations Manager | Vivery Community

Vivery Community is a national nonprofit transforming food access through innovation. The Development & Operations Manager plays a key role in advancing fundraising and communications efforts while managing donor engagement and operational excellence across the development function.

Responsibilities

Conduct research on current and prospective donors and board members and prepare fundraising materials and collateral
Manage fundraising and communication systems, including QGiv and Constant Contact
Ensure timely recognition of all donations through acknowledgement letters
Support in the holiday campaign and annual appeal processes
Process and deposit checks and liaise with Finance to ensure proper revenue coding
Support VP of Development and Executive Director in Board management and logistics
Gather and synthesize compelling content for communications in partnership with the Vice President of Development and Interim CMO
Draft and edit written content for external communications, including e-blasts, grant proposals, and donor materials
Manage LinkedIn and social media channels
Manage VP of Development and other staff against key development outreach and tasks
Oversee Vivery Community’s CRM (Salesforce.com) & Constant Contact and devise and maintain protocols and best practices for data entry and knowledge management
Maintain and update database with new donations and track touchpoints, call logs and communication with donors, including occasional data imports as needed
Create reports and dashboards to improve data visibility across teams
Manage settings, lists and configuration of automated email campaigns
Support the broader Vivery Community team as needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in the non-profit sector; prior development experience preferred
Demonstrates a passion for Vivery Community's mission and advancing equitable access to nutritious food
Must be systems-oriented and have strong quantitative analytical skills
Demonstrates proficiency with basic software programs, including Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel a plus
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses flexibility
Has strong interpersonal skills and able to build relationships and communicate with a diverse array of stakeholders
Excellent oral, written communication, technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Exhibits strong organizational skills and is detail-oriented

Preferred

Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs strongly preferred
Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Constant Contact) is a plus, particularly for supporting email campaign creation, segmentation, and performance tracking
