Graphic Designer

Responsibilities
Design graphics for direct mail, collateral, bill inserts, newsletters, advertising, signage and merchandise including premiums and company clothing
Create imagery for email communications, social media and digital advertising, corporate sites and landing pages. Ensure all visuals align with PSEG Long Island brand identity and guidelines
Support Energy Efficiency, Major Accounts, Economic Development, Community Partnerships, Customer Technology, and other business partners on communications and marketing initiatives
Partner with Corporate Communications, External and Government Affairs to ensure brand alignment on education and outreach projects
Collaborate with external partners, agencies and vendors on the development and execution of campaign creative
Work with Customer Intelligence to understand customer profiles and communication strategies to increase Customer Satisfaction scores
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives to meet production, campaign and delivery deadlines. Prioritize workload as prescribed by the current graphic designer and department manager
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Fine/Visual/Commercial Graphic Arts or Graphic Design and 5 years of graphic design experience; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of graphic design experience
5+ years of hands-on graphic design experience creating impactful marketing campaign materials
Self-starter with strong project management skills, who can not only create stunning visuals, but also apply established branding guidelines and ensure completed work meets quality, timing and budget expectations
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently under continual deadline constraints with the ability to manage multiple quick-turn projects and pivoting priorities while maintaining a creative edge
Self-motivated, intellectually curious and highly productive in a remote working environment; Adaptable, flexible and collaborative; highly organized and detail-oriented
Receptive to new direction/ideas/learning, Able to provide direction and share ideas with fellow team members. Able to learn new software packages as needed
Advanced knowledge of appropriate ratio of clear space, content, and graphics to achieve a consistent brand look and feel
Excellent command of formats, typography, graphics, layout, color theory, paper and printing technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in creating print-ready files to required specifications
High level of accuracy when reviewing externally supplied files, and/or pre-flight of newly produced files
Understands components, cycle times, and distribution requirements for integrated marketing communications campaigns
Experience managing vendor relationships
Expert level in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro
Proficient in MAC and PC platforms
Must provide an online portfolio with your application which includes several examples of various deliverables using brand guidelines for a large corporation
Preferred
10+ years advertising, editorial, publishing and/or marketing design experience
3+ years of experience with PSEG Long Island branding, design and production guidelines Familiarity with PSEG Long Island approval processes and platforms
Ability to design and execute motion graphics (for web and social media) and digital illustrations
Proficient in AfterEffects and XD is a plus
