Lead Technician
Komatsu is a world leader in manufacturing construction, mining, forestry, and industrial heavy equipment. They are seeking a Lead Technician to work at their Sparks, NV location, responsible for maintaining repair efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and providing excellent customer service while diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.

Responsibilities
Maintain an annual repair efficiency of at least 85%
Ensure rework hours remain under 3% of billed hours
Adhere to standard repair times and achieve balanced scorecard goals
Prioritize safety and comply with all regulations
Manage documentation and implement contamination control measures
Provide accurate quotes and excellent customer service
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, testing all repairs thoroughly
Thoroughly test and validate the functionality of all repairs made and adjustments performed
Apply general failure analysis procedures for effective troubleshooting and diagnosis of complex issues
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Flexibility to accommodate various work schedules, including shift work
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in basic arithmetic and computer skills
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues
Mechanical knowledge
Certification to operate a forklift and/or manlift required
MSHA certification and respirator certification may be necessary
Possession of a basic mechanics toolset required
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
Associate Degree in Diesel Technology
