Responsibilities

Build, own and continuously review the master budget, line by line, across all stages of production

Take ownership of and proactively track and engage with team members on all changes

Meet with team members regularly to stay updated on budget effects

Prepare client versions of budgets

Keep Executive Producers regularly appraised of the current budget status and any key shifts

Partner with the Finance team to update cash flow projections and ensure financial accuracy

Support Producers in reviewing and evaluating vendor estimates, budgets, and costs

Assist with the vendor procurement process

Maintain clear and full documentation

Maintain an up-to-date expense log and internal budget that accurately reflects real-time budget status

Track savings opportunities and share updates

Organize and lead internal budget review meetings to ensure alignment across departments

Share budgeting documentation and breakdowns with clients as needed

Maintain accurate expense logs by regularly reconciling actuals against projections in coordination with the Finance team

Ensure all expenses are correctly coded, documented, and reflected in internal systems

Proactively flag discrepancies and work cross-functionally to resolve them promptly

Partner with the Finance team to develop and share budgeting best practices with the broader team to support consistency and efficiency across projects

Provide financial context and guidance to support informed decision-making throughout production

Lead Internal 1:1 budget meetings with stakeholders

Be clear, concise, and prepared to instill confidence in finance, EPs, and producers. LP equations and cell equations need to be easy for all others to follow along
