Responsibilities

Define and implement the strategic plan for the Water sector, including market expansion, service-line growth, and revenue targets

Monitor regulatory requirements (EPA, state environmental agencies, FEMA, etc.), emerging technologies, and funding mechanisms to inform growth strategies

Identify and cultivate opportunities in municipal utilities, water districts, flood control authorities, and regional water agencies

Lead financial management of the Water sector, including P&L oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management

Ensure efficient operations and high-quality project execution across water resources, wastewater, stormwater, and treatment design teams

Implement and promote consistent processes, quality systems, and safety practices

Drive business development initiatives, including proposal leadership, capture planning, and positioning for major water infrastructure programs

Maintain and expand relationships with public utilities, water districts, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

Represent Westwood in water-related industry associations and forums

Lead a team of project managers, technical specialists, and discipline leads across water-focused engineering fields

Support recruitment, training, mentorship, performance management, and staff retention

Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the Water practice

Collaborate with Transportation, Energy, Land Development, and Corporate Services to leverage synergies and pursue integrated opportunities

Ensure compliance with engineering licensure requirements, quality standards, and internal governance
