MLS School Program Coordinator - Full Time
Indiana Regional Medical Center is seeking an MLS School Program Coordinator to develop and teach courses in the Medical Laboratory Science Program. The role involves managing the admissions process, analyzing graduation and employment rates, and ensuring program accreditation and compliance with NAACLS standards.

Responsibilities
Develop and teach courses in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program. Prepare materials to include syllabi, lecture materials, quizzes and exams, lab procedures and manual, practical materials, and supplies
Manage, review, and revise as needed the MLS admissions process, program brochure, and catalog page
Review and analyze graduation placement and attrition rates, updates the Student and Graduate spreadsheet and documents that students entering the final half of the program will meet the NAACLS requirement of 70%
Prepare, distribute, and collect Graduate Surveys, evaluating the data to inform and document resulting curriculum changes
Review, analyze and document employment rates
Prepare, distribute, collect, and evaluate Employer Surveys, documenting resulting curriculum changes
Manage and analyze the ASCP BOC MLS exam results to ensure appropriate pass rate, implementing circular changes as necessary
Manage evaluations, analyze results for advisory committee distribution; document resulting curriculum changes
Ensure program webpage is updated annually to reflect current 3-year program statistics: graduation rate, employment rate, and BOC pass rate
Update MLS Student Handbook for each starting class
Prepare and attend MLS Advisory Committee meetings and Information Sessions
Review and revise MLS Assessment and Continuous Quality Improvement Plan and Timeline per NAACLS requirements
Maintain NAACLS accreditation of the program
Manage Self-Study and Site Visit per NAACLS requirements
Ensure student laboratory meets NAACLS standards
Have Regular and consistent contact with students, faculty, and program personnel
Ensure clinical practicum course materials address entry-level competency and verification of student performance during rotations: syllabi, rotation length and schedule, competency forms, affective evaluation, clinical final exams, clinical log sheets
Review affiliation agreements to ensure compliance with NAACLS and identify unique requirements (separate orientation, site-specific documentation, etc.) for each clinical affiliate
Oversee the MLS program budget
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in healthcare related field
5 years with a minimum of year supervisory experience in a laboratory
3 years teaching experience (includes training staff)
Knowledge of education methods and administration as well as a current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures
ASCP in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology
A minimum of one-year supervisory experience in a laboratory, preferably a hospital, which includes: staff supervision and evaluation; College of American Pathologist (CAP) surveys and inspections; quality management/quality assurance; compliance; Performance Evaluations
Recent bench experience and can prove competence
