Program Assistant
City of Springfield Human Resources is responsible for organizing and overseeing the Senior Tax Write Off Program. The Program Assistant will plan, administer, coordinate, and oversee all phases and activities of the program under the supervision of the Director of Elder Affairs.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation and administrative functions of the Senior Tax Write Off Program
Develops and promotes program recruiting materials both electronic and print
Conducts outreach to City departments and keeps an active list of those interested in hosting senior volunteers
Conducts outreach to both target populations and the general public
Reviews, screens, interviews, and selects program participants based on meeting the eligibility criteria
Coordinates with the Human Resources department to complete CORI checks, onboarding, and orientation
Completes all required administrative paperwork, including attendance records and notification to required departments once seniors have completed program hours
Performs all other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of experience in program management, outreach or a related field
Ability to meet goals and deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Requires familiarity with the neighborhood, City, City Departments, and agencies offering social services
Ability to establish and maintain relationships
General computer and office skills
