Program Manager, Office of the Vice President

Tulane University is seeking a Program Manager to provide high-level support to the Vice President for Advancement. This role involves managing office operations, coordinating activities, and overseeing special projects while requiring exceptional organizational skills and discretion.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the office
Scheduling and calendar management
Drafting/editing/handling correspondence
Briefing and preparing for meeting and Advancement related activities involving the Vice President
Drive and complete any special projects as directed by the Vice President
Managing the School of Medicine Board of Governor’s
Managing the Health Sciences Committee of the Board of Tulane
Central point of coordination for the office of Campaigns and Administration
Work directly with all units reporting into the office as well as high-level leaders within and outside of Advancement

Required

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple demands and/or projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that include the ability to communicate and work cooperatively and effectively with high level prospects, donors, and volunteers
Ability to make decisions independently, demonstrate initiative and self-starting capacity
Ability to contribute to the yearly strategic planning of the department
Ability to mentor and manage a team
Experience working with sensitive information and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' experience in fundraising, project management, or a related field
High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years' directly related experience
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered

Preferred

Experience in a research university environment
Commitment to the values of an institution of higher education
Knowledge of various software systems, such as Word, Excel, and a prospect management database
