New Grad, Entry LevelWharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineer to join their Commercial Division in North Port, FL. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an entry-level construction professional to gain hands-on experience in community-focused commercial projects, working closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.

Responsibilities
Assist the Superintendent and Foreman with layout, measurement, and field engineering tasks
Support daily project operations, including scheduling updates, document tracking, and field communication
Help prepare and process Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals
Maintain As-Built drawings, progress logs, and photo documentation
Participate in site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control reviews
Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate material deliveries and installation tracking
Gain exposure to estimating, scheduling, and project documentation systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; exposure to scheduling or project management software a plus
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative construction environment
